JOIN US FOR THE 2nd ANNUAL JAKES WITCH PROJECT
The Jakes Witch Project is Northwestern PA's Premiere Mountain Bike Festival. Come out and enjoy 20 miles of multi-use trail systems, live music, food and drinks. The festival takes place September 28-29, at Kinzua Beach & Jakes Rocks Trails in Warren, PA.
What’s New for Chapter2
Building on the successful 2017 festival we have some format changes.
As nice as October is here in North Western Pennsylvania we have moved the date to Friday September 28th. And Saturday September 29th. 2018. Early October interferes with a few other festivals, race events throughout the area including fall fest at Holiday Valley, NY and their MTB race.
We also have Dewdrop campground a wonderful stay along the lakeshore for riders, hopefully ride in, ride out by JWP. This campground closes October 1st. Due to National Forest regulations. Unfortunately we have no control over this so we wanted to have camping options with 100% facilities being open. This year Dewdrop campground will have all showers, restrooms, electric open for campers and RV’s. Please see the camping/lodging section for options. These may fill up fast! We will also offer full shuttle services to and from the campground this year.
Feel Like Racing?
For the 2017 JWP we chose not to have any mountain bike race events and Heard YA! This year we're offering TWO race events..
• Friday September the 28th. Pittsburgh's premier bike shop, TrailFlo, will be hosting a enduro race.
How about some clinics?
Rays Indoor Mountain Bike Park Presents Jakes Witch Project’s Skills and Tech Clinics.
Back for Chapter2 is the women’s only Susan Haywood skills/tech clinics. NO MEN ALLOWED!!! Sorry guys see below. Susan will also be hosting a fireside, beer included of course, Tech clinic in the evenings. So ladies don’t miss this opportunity to learn, ride or simply hang out with this awesome world class lady. See her at www.susanhaywood.com for her bio and other clinic offerings throughout the Northeast.
A great deal of men ask about skills clinics last year. Keith Miller from Ray Indoor Mountain Bike park will be holding a open skills/tech clinic. These clinics will be open to both men and women riders. Keith is a class 2 certified instructor from Rays Indoor MTB park. Need I say more! He will also host a evening tech clinic. YES beer also included.
On registration page you will see these choices. Remember you must have a Level 1 registration to choose a clinic. Take a beginner class in the morning then transfer those skills to a Intermediate class in the afternoon. Or split up the days/times as you wish for multiple clinics.
