Friday September 28th. Pittsburgh's premier bike shop, TrailFlo, will be hosting a enduro race from the TAJR upper reaches and descending the steeps including the new Blacksnake trail ending at Devils Elbow shore line almost 1000 feet below. This is going to be awesome! There are only 150 spots for this event so sign up quick. This course also has a ton of spectator spots with some steep features so it will be a great event to watch so bring your noisemakers, cowbells, yelling voices and party mood!
Saturday September the 29th. Warren Cycle shop/Jamestown Jock shop. Warrens local bike shop and Trek dealer will be hosting the Rippin at The Rocks XC race event. We are going to have two races beginner/sport approximately 10 miles and a Elite/expert approximately 20 miles. These events are being planned, scheduled at time of this release so please check the race event tabs, newsfeeds and Facebook for updates.
Rays Indoor Mountain Bike park from Cleveland Oh. Presents some cool skills/tech options this year. No matter your skills, total beginner or seasoned bike handler in the rough stuff. Please don’t pass up these clinics. You MUST have a minimum Level 1 registration to purchase these clinics. They are very affordable and informative.
Back for Chapter2 is the women’s only Susan Haywood skills/tech clinics. NO MEN ALLOWED!!!
Sorry guys see below. Susan will also be hosting a fireside, beer included of course, Tech clinic in the evenings. So ladies don’t miss this opportunity to learn, ride or simply hang out with this awesome world class lady.
Building on last year we will be offering shuttle services for all registered JWP attendees. This year we will be expanding our shuttle services from the Kinzua beach exhibitor center, any additional parking at the Wolf Run Marina, Kinzua visitors center at the bottom of the gravity/downhill trails, Jakes Rocks trail heads upper reaches, Dewdrop campground. This is to offer better access especially for the downhill riders at the shorelines and campground. Note you MUST have minimum level 1 registration to take advantage of the shuttle services.
Vehicle access road to Jakes Rocks parking areas will be restricted to shuttle and event staff throughout the event. Please, Please, PLEASE DO NOT park up on top, self shuttle, PLEASE register and use the shuttle services. There is way to much bike traffic in this area for our organizers to have to deal with your car or truck. Especially with the race events taking place. Park at the Kinzua beach and use the shuttle. We do not want to jeopardize our relationship with the Allegheny National Forest Service. They are the reason these trails are allowed here and we must help them help us. Also all of the fun stuff happens after riding at the Kinzua beach until late in the evening so may as well have a parking spot and not risk a DUI. Mountain bikers are the best people in sport so nothing else needs to be said here and thank you.
